the breed
The Miniature Pinscher dog breed was originally bred in Germany to hunt vermin, primarily rats, in homes and stables.
Many people think that they were developed by breeding Dobermans to progressively smaller sizes, and indeed, they look similar to Dobermans. However, the Min Pin is a distinct and much older breed.
This breed is good for people who live in apartments or small homes. They do not require a lot of exercise, but they do enjoy going for walks and playing fetch.
They are also good for families with children, as they are patient and gentle.

Known as the āKing of Toysā for their stately appearance and self-assured attitude, Miniature Pinschers are fearless, energetic, and alert companion dogs who enjoy the company of their families. Miniature Pinschers can adapt to apartment life, but due to their high energy, they need plenty of exercise. If you can meet the breedās needs, youāll have a loving little family member who will always keep you on your toes!
The gentle-looking Miniature Pinscher toy breed is a sturdy dog with a dynamic personality. If given the chance, this Toy King will rule you and yours home. You must be willing and able to be a strong and kind leader of the home. Training and socialisation are essential. It’s safe to say that Min Pin is his own dog, both in terms of breeding and temperament.
The Miniature Pinscher is also an elegant looking dog. His arched neck and muscular body give him confidence. Its smooth, easy-care coat is shiny in red, black and rust or chocolate and rust. Min Pin’s ears are often erect or dropped; the tail is usually docked. He is known for his high gait. The Miniature Pinscher is a bundle of energy, full of vigour. He is very curious and tends to check out ā and probably eat ā everything.
You have to watch him carefully so that he doesn’t get into something he shouldn’t. He is a
talented escape artist and should never be outside off-leash – in fact, you need to make sure he doesn’t jump out every time you open the front door.
SOCIALISATION ADVICE
The Miniature Pinscher is a bright, curious minded dog who will easily solve puzzles and enjoy training with the right motivation. They are likely to enjoy chasing games and teaching a strong recall cue, along with a āquietā and a āsettleā will keep them safe and
pleasant to spend time with.
Early socialisation with people and particularly small furry animals is advised, as his terrier nature can lead him into trouble otherwise. This involves having pleasant social interactions with adults, children, vets, adult dogs and other animals, as well as careful exposure to
different situations in the environment such as traffic, crowds, travelling in the car, vacuum cleaners and any sights and sounds it will have to cope with in life.
It is so important that this is done thoroughly and correctly while your puppy is still young and he is young enough to happily accept new things.
Puppies that have been socialised effectively in these early weeks are far less likely to react negatively to new situations, noises, people, dogs and animals than their counterparts, who have not had these important early experiences. A well socialised puppy is far more likely to integrate easily into your life, therefore making your life together much more enjoyable and rewarding.
There are two parts to socialisation and both are equally important. The first is teaching the puppy to be social with people and other dogs, while the other (called habituation) is about teaching all the things we want the puppy to ignore and not be worried about (noises, traffic, household objects etc.).

Being a companion
is the hardest job
we ever ask a dog to do as our expectations are so high. We want dogs to get on with everybody and everything, and to go everywhere with us when we want, but also be happy to be left alone without complaint, to be accepting of loud noises,
strangers, other dogsā¦the list is endless.
Here, at ANNASZY We take all breederās parts:
socialising our litter on start as early as when the puppies are a few days old.
Gentle handling and checking the progress of our litter are all important steps in the first few days of a puppyās life. Over the course of the following weeks, we introduce puppies to noises, different surfaces, different play items as well as different play and feeding
locations around the house ā all of this habituation and novelty contributes to the puppiesā early development. The early groundwork that we are puts into our littersā socialand emotional wellbeing has a direct impact on our puppiesā ability to be fit for functionas a family dog.
